Some motorists didn't seem to be coping very well with the rain - I passed three separate crashes on the dual carriageway north from Brighton before even getting to the M23

Nothing so calamitous on the rest of the way back. I think I saw some red kites cruising around near Stokenchurch - great big bird things, shaped a bit like eagles
