NF - the rumour vine tells me that the Criterion has shut down and is up for sale. Pity if it's true as that was a decent drinking establishment. Any news from our man on the ground?

That's a real pity - that was a quality place to drink. At least there is another quality boozer around the corner in the form of the Charlotte: a bit spit and sawdust but the welcome and the beer are both good.

Vegan cafe!?! Bloody Brighton. Does have some interesting shops if you like walking up and down hills.
