At the hotel, as this week I'm trying out the idea of doing the journey both ways on Wednesday.

Next Monday I've got the dentist in the afternoon. I originally said I'd come in for the morning, but that was nearer the start of the contract when making a good impression still seemed like a plan. Now it just seems idiotic to drive down here for a maximum of four hours of work before driving back, so I think I'll just tell them that, unless there's something urgent they're keeping secret until Monday morning, I'll take the whole day

I booked mine six months ago. The plan then was to not have to get up before lunch. So much for that idea

Back at the hotel

I'd rather be at home, but at least I can have a look at what's going on in there (nothing, thankfully) on my phone, which certainly wasn't a practical possibility when I was down in Bristol this time eleven years ago
