I've done something constructive.
I've fixed the remote control buggy thing that fell off the table during induction week last year.
Quite why you'd be dumb enough to put the thing on a table in the first place is quite beyond me.
It hasn't been much improved by the experience, it must be said, since I chopped off various extraneous bits in the process since I couldn't fit it back together the way it was before.Comment

In other news, since there's Yet Another Skool Meeting today, which I'm not attending, it's like the Marie Celeste up here.
And cold with it.Comment

11:00 - team meeting (permies only)
12:00 - Project Team lunch (permies + contractors)
Some of the permies are peeved that I don't have to sit through a one hour lecture, but I get the free meal.
By not sitting through the 1 hour bit, it proves I am a contractor, Hector.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

This is a live update from Trap 1 at ClientCo.
Unfortunately for me there are Bobs in the other five traps. I can hear them all hacking and retching phlegm. What's worse is the smell in here. I've never been in a more unpleasant tulipter.

with all the permies in the meeting, I'm going to have to get my own coffee. Disgraceful service. Don't they know how much they pay me to sit here?…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
