    Home, and weekend!

And I don't feel as utterly shattered as I have been doing at this time on a Friday for the last few weeks. I think staying away for two or three nights brings the amount of driving under control, so I'll do that more in future. I'm still not keen on staying away all week, though.

Now to catch up with my lovely followees on Twitter. I wonder what they've been talking about today?

Sounds wretched. I don't think I've had to fax one since 2009

I submitted mine from my phone as I was packing up to leave ClientCo

        50 cal Barrett?

I find those very effective on Squirrels.

You need a real big feck off telescopic sight to off them from a mile away though.

Back in from a dog walk, I notice there are some signs up on the hill that weren't there last night. Arrows marking a route for an event.
          I call the number...
'Oh yes, it's a "non competitive cycling event" with 250 people registered for it, the first riders should be through around 10am.
No one has ever complained about it in the 5 years we have run it.'
I let them know that if we are not told about the event before hand then there is nothing we can do to complain, we just have to get out of the way.
Not his problem, he doesn't care.
Let's just hope that these riders take their rubbish with them, don't completely destroy the tracks they are riding on, and look out for walkers and dogs who will be on the tracks.
Normally they don't. We end up picking up the rubbish and having to cope with the ruts.

...if you ever wonder why cyclists get a bad reputation, it's partly caused by these races.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Monday night & Wednesday night seems to work for me.

As you say, it keeps the driving manageable.

            Apart from Friday.

I heard an odd noise from the living room - turns out it was the Heath Robinson device turning the light on
