    Morning denizens

Grey and a tad damp here today

But the exciting news is that the scaffolding on the first house in the side street, which has prevented the security gate being locked since late last summer, is finally being taken down!

No more driving out with approximately four inches of clearance from one's wing mirrors on either side

Though now we have to start all over again with convincing various local residents, particularly those who've moved in during the period of the Great Scaffolding Blight, that it really is both necessary and desirable to lock the gate every time they go in or out

      'Morning

here, but no actual precipitation as yet.

Parkrun done. Still very slow but at least going in the right direction.

Lots of work for clientB. Daft requirements, so not feeling much motivation to actually build them.

        Monsoon has arrived.

        Dark, dank, and extremely grey.

        Ho hum.

        Towels washed.

Shirts in progress, apart from the one I forgot coz I'm wearing it.

Shortly to be joined by the jeans and socks in due course.

Haven't been shopping since the weather is grim.

Back is still giving me gyp. Ho very hum.

'Tis getting lighter out there and I think the monsoon has stopped for 5 minutes.

Plus this box has finished thrashing the hard disk.

Mostly coz I've completely turned off M$ updates.

I do like to have at least 5% utilisation out of something I've paid money for, rather than the 0.1% that update seemed prepared to allow.

I would assume it's doing its best to use up my bandwidth downloading the execrable Win10.

            Fry-up for lunch - only a medium-sized one, though

                    But the scaffolders have departed

Back gate is finally locked, for the first time this year

Dinner preparation is largely concluded: the casserole is in the oven, and the chips have been boiled. I also undertook the mildly arduous task of cleaning the deep fat fryer

It wasn't too bad, actually, as I gave it a very thorough deep clean last time, disassembling the lid to clean its innards and so forth.

Anyway, it's done, so I anticipate beautiful golden chips later
