            The commuters will, if they don't finish by the promised time of 15:30 - it's bad enough out there without a lane closed.

            I remember when workmen were perfectly capable of doing things on a pavement without having to close the road. In fact, the lane closure seems mainly to be so they can park their lorry next to the hole, rather than sticking it on the side road and carrying their stuff twenty yards or so

                In other news, the relay board I made in 2 hours yesterday successfully blew up a not inexpensive DAC output board.

                Of course sticking 24V onto the 5V rail* probly didn't help a great deal, all in all.

                *Both marked as "5V" on the component side of the board.
