Already made the commitment to first week in April and client wanted me in sooner than that. Current client co. have major milestone in the last week I am there so don't want to leave them in the lurch. Leaving on good terms and don't want to close the door on possible future work.

This is where I prefer the Suity route, leave a trial of destruction and fire in my rear view mirror

Any restaurant that boasts 65 dishes means that they come out of the freezer and into a deep fat fryer or microwave before hitting your plate.

Have worked in a few such establishments as a student and it aint pretty. In general I avoid them at all costs.

My experience of tapas when over at our place in Spain is that it is all batch cooked and kept warm, no idea how it works in the UK but assume its as you say

In other news had a very productive plan B meeting regarding a cookbook, not mine but a friends.

They want me to look over their recipes and help re-write them.

Not much, but its a start, in return, they plug me, give me loads of free stuff from their company (they sell spices ad BBQ rubs) and a credit on the book.

In other, other news, I have purchased a meat slicer. Have cured loads of bacon so need to get even slices than with a knife.

With traditional tapas, they generally keep the menu small and easy to make. Certain things can be batch made and warmed up.
Haven't found a decent place here in cloggers.

In today's episode of Washing Clothes That Were Stored In A Place Where The Mice Might Have Got At Them And Which I've Therefore Been Putting Off Dealing With For Several Years (Although The Ones I've Done So Far Have Been OK), I've unearthed several pairs of jeans that are a couple of sizes down from the ones I now just about manage to squeeze into out of sheer obstinacy

Those go to the bottom of the pile, as once they are washed they're just going straight to the Clothes Bank at the local tip
