Morning denizens
Touch cloudy out, and it looks like it's rained some time within the last couple of hours; but it's shaping up to be quite a decent day, by the look of thingsComment

More of that footballing stuff going on this afternoon, it seems. Maybe that's why the road is so busy; though it's usually busy around now on Saturday.
Just over twenty years ago an application was made for planning permission to open a McDonald's drive-through on the next corner, where Iceland now is. It was turned down because (among other reasons) their projected busiest times coincided exactly with the times when the congestion on this road is worst: morning and teatime rush hours, and Saturday lunchtime.
But surely, if they expected most of their sales to be drive-through, it stands to reason that the busy times would be when the greatest number of people are driving?
Anyway, they quite rightly got told to sod off, and so we have Iceland insteadComment
