Home again! Shopping done, prescription filled, etc.

I only realised when I went to complete the bit on the back of the prescription that I'd forgotten to renew my prepayment certificate - it fell due at New Year

Luckily you can do it online, so I quickly got that sorted out before going to the pharmacy

When MrsMac moved in she brought her 4 cats with her, one was on badly disabled (no cartilage in her back legs) so limps heavily, especially when cold. Think the pain is getting too much for her as she is not making it to the litter tray. MrsMac has always resisted my pushing to get her looked at by a vet knowing the answer that will come.

This time she didn't say no

It may not be as bad as you think. There are long term painkillers available for cats now that work really well for joint pain. Ask them about Metacam. Not stupidly expensive either.

Cat has arthritis in his spine and the base of his tail, we've got him on Metacam now and it's made a huge difference for him.

We gave the pooch metacam after her operation and it didnt agree with her. So we threw the stuff away and they gave her some other stuff.
