Once again, the Neighbourhood Watch meeting provides evidence that there's a fine line between taking responsibility for the wellbeing of the community, and being a total busybody:
"That dog at number fourteen, it never seems very happy."
"Is it being neglected?"
"Oh no, it looks well fed and in good condition. It just seems very docile… extremely so compared to most dogs."
"…I don't think having a mild-mannered dog is actionable."

I gave up on ours after the newsletter came round reporting that vandals had tipped the bins over, which happened to coincide with gale force winds...Comment
