Finally got through to Ikea to advise them of the parking/delivery restrictions, after listening to hold music consisting almost entirely of Abba for twenty minutes.

They said the driver will phone me when on the way, so I should just tell them where to park then

Incidentally, do all Swedish exports have four-letter names ending in "a"?

The driver will ring (he did this morning)... Arrived at 8am and took everything directly up to the bedroom its going in. Now hopefully the people Mrs eek has tricked into building the stuff will be build it before I get home on Friday night..

Twas on a Wednesday morning the gasman came to call.

Changed the controller board: no change. £350.

Changed the gas valve: boiler bursts into life. £200.

Thank feck for the insurance.

MOT booked for 11:00.

Lane blocked by shedload of lorries & landrovers from Western Power Distribution.

Changed some sort of contactor on the 33kV line that crosses the canal, river & marsh.

Enquire how long they're going to be, and they say "all day" but they moved it all to let me & the ZeitToyota out.

Decided to give ZeitToyota a bit of a blast up to Resolven & back.

Halfway there the goddamn thing starts missing.

Amazingly enough, it passed the MOT, but I'll have to have a look at the fecker this afternoon.

Ho hum.

I wonder if Halfords will have plugs to suit.

Just had the lunch of heroes: Branston baked beans with little sausages.

They taste rather more interesting than the Heinz version.
