    That's showing off that is.

My many FORTRAN IV programs on the GA 16-220 were designed to do that with my job.

Nothing more tedious than writing test programs for chips all day.

When I started in 1979 it took weeks to write a tester program.

By the time I'd been there 3 years it took about 10 minutes.

It normally took far longer to punch the deck of cards than to do the data entry part.

Not as impressive as satellite ephemeris though.

Can't remember if that's the one that had a ?FPGA? programmed as a FORTH machine or if it's just a bog standard Z80 (or whatever) with FORTH eproms.

        Crap.

I may have to go & look at the issues to find out.

6809 according to 1980s Vintage Computers - Wireless World Magazine

The 6809 was ideal for Forth as it had a second stack in hardware

Awaiting a Go/No Go session at 4pm. Usually a massive session of willy waving from operations. Since we are removing something which has been borked for 18 months and implementing a manual workaround, i'm not anticipating much resistance
