When I ordered the DVD from Canada, the chap was good enough to email me to tell me it was Region 1 and check if I still wanted it, that being the case.

Pleased to be able to confirm that my usual DVD ripping software was able to rip the disk and remove the region encoding without any effort on my part beyond putting the disk in
