For no reason in particular I bought myself some watercolour pencils, a sketch pad and a Collin's Gem 10-minute watercolours book.

I'm rather pleased with my first drawing. An apple.

A weird lump appeared on the inside of my lower lip a week or so ago. Having brooded over it since then and pretty much convinced myself it's oral cancer, I finally got around to Googling.

Turns out it's 99.99% likely to be a harmless cyst caused by blocking a salivary gland by accidentally biting my lip while eating (which I vaguely remember doing shortly before it appeared), and will vanish of its own accord in a week or two

The goody bag at the Boring Conference included a colouring book and a small box of crayons, but yours sounds better

I never knew there were 300 different gins, let alone in one small bar.

Not sure how many I sampled, but have ticked a few off.

Cheers TCD for the expert guidance.

Quite pleasant out there, if you like that kind of thing
