        Evening

A little later than normal catching train. Had to pop into town for some stuff.
Grabbed a cheeky espresso while in one dept store

Trudged off down town to pay some bills & do some shopping.

Then I went to the library to get down with the hoi polloi, as you do.

Even managed (with some help from a friend) to log in to "work".

I did quite well, only deleted a wagonload of irrelevant tulipe.

          Some emails were almost relevant.

Apparently our course had one interested party in the open day.

Bet he's not interested any more.

Last week, someone at Hoaxley managed to send me an email that was almost relevant, aside from being about motor control using a dsPIC33, of which I know less than nothing.

It also waffled on about XP and Scrum & Agile, about which I know even less.

But at least it wasn't Richard fecking Joyce and his endless mech eng permie roles.

I wonder if what passes for management in the tuliphole where I "work" would be so keen on mandatory attendance at stuff if they knew how close they come to termination with extreme prejudice.

                  Home!

Came in, dropped bag and medicines off, and immediately popped next door to the doc's for the missing prescription. Turns out Tuesday is a good time to do that, as there isn't a surgery going on so there isn't a waiting room full of diseased people.

Then, coming back in, my upstairs neighbour was going through the front door just ahead of me, so we exchanged a few words. She must have been here for getting on a year, and I think it's about the fifth time we've met

Need to re-educate myself that just because it's still light, that doesn't mean it isn't time to start cooking dinner.

I had some bacon that needed to be finished off, so dinner was yet another fry-up

Having got dining out of the way before it's even properly dark, I may finally be on course for that early night (i.e. before 11pm) I've been promising myself for weeks
