Well, I enjoyed watching that again
I remember seeing it when it was first broadcast - 24 January 1990, apparently. It was a Sunday night, and it ran from eight till ten in the evening, though of course it finished a few minutes before ten, because commercials had to be shown.
Back then, the pubs closed at ten thirty on a Sunday night, and I lived one-and-a-half miles from the pub. But I was in Highfields, and the pub was by the river, so it was all downhill, and the traffic lights were with me; and I made it there in seven minutes flat, from getting on my pushbike to standing at the bar
