            An oil-filled radiator isn't a problem - in fact, I originally bought it to leave on (with the thermostat down at its lowest setting) when I was away from home in the winter, to avoid the risk of the pipes freezing. Though since then I've realised that there's enough warmth coming through the floor from the downstairs neighbours' flat to prevent that happening
