    Matrices never my strong point.

Determinants were more or less where I gave up.

    Anyone remember operator D?

I'm OK with that, as we were doing matrices in Maths when I first started learning (more accurately, teaching myself) to program on the school's PDP-8/e, so I wrote loads of programs to manipulate matrices

I've always been rubbish at understanding Maths in the abstract, but once I've implemented something algorithmically I get it.

Apparently The Life and Loves of a She-Devil is being repeated on BBC4.

I remember it from the first time around. Turns out that was on Wednesday evenings in October 1986.
