Anyone else remember "list.com", the file viewer by Vern Buerg?
Well, he's snuffed it & here's a tribute page:

Originally posted by norrahe View PostI got stung with our house purchase in cloggers, supposed to get a full mortgage and then the bank changed their mind last minute.
We had already signed a contract to engage in the sale ( contracts are signed on sale agreement here in cloggers), so backing out would cost me the deposit.
In the end it cost me 80% of my savings, was well unhappy!
May I suggest everyone opens a bottle of wine and goes for a sit in the garden.Comment

Took the Orion to have the rim corrosion on one of the wheels fixed. It was causing the tyre to deflate over the course of about four days. Having to constantly reinflate the tyre meant I wasn't driving the car as much, which in turn isn't really very good for it - it needs to zoom about regularly, not just sit there for weeks at a time.
Had the wheel alignment done while I was there. It felt like it was zooming along a bit more smoothly afterwards, but I'm pretty sure that's just a psychological thing. It doesn't pull slightly to the left on braking any more, thoughComment

One of those funny little memory card thingies you stick in cameras & the like to store yer photos on.
All I want to do is read a file off the fecking thing but I'm getting corrupt data back.
It seems very temperamental, though that might be down to the crap PCB design I inherited from a student project from 2007.
It really doesn't like something but I'm fecked if I can figure out quite what.
Ho hum.
Sproing.
In other news, the chap on the site above says that the "lock" switch on the side does bugger all, the card reader may or may not take any notice of it & there's no electrical connection to it.Last edited by zeitghost; 20 June 2014, 07:30.Comment
