          Hi Dallas

Good to meet up just now. Sorry I did not recognize you with your work clothes on.

Don't forget the links on the swimming and spiders.

And the book on "how to mend a puncture".....

              Just Do It.

The chef at the place I'm taking Mrs P to has just posted on twitter that he's going live with a new tasting menu tonight. I've spent all morning looking at the old one agonising over which version to have, all for nothing.

Actually you've just reminded me I need to book at a restaurant for next week, there's 4 2** restaurants in Rotterdam which are doing a promo whereby you have a course at each restaurant and it ends next week. 4x010 - Michelin ** Sterrentour Rotterdam

                Have fun this evening.

Possible numpty question but here goes.

Are there any indigenous hardwoods that can't be used for smoking in a BBQ/Smoker?

If I buy chunks of apple or oak from a BBQ supplier I'm paying about £10 for 2.5Kg. However the seasoned hardwood I buy for my wood burning fireplace costs less that £5 for 10Kg. Obviously I don't know what type of wood the 2nd option is.

Does anyone know why I shouldn't just use the cheap stuff for cooking?

Just a thought cos I'm bored.

Can't post there yet. Need to wait about a week until you get the nod from a mod apparently.

They seem to apply "slowly is best" to everything.
