Had the report back on the Super Monkey Car's MoT. Needs bits of welding, which it does every year, but nothing too bad.

Oh, and one of the brakes is sticking, which explains why it judders so much when braking. I'd been meaning to get that looked at anyway.

So, give it a few days and we should be good for another year

I still remember with pleasure the time the ZeitChevette passed its MOT with flying colours.

Then I noticed this funny wind noise.

There was a hole in the floor.

I used to have a landrover like that. Mainly cos I took the floor plates out in preparation for changing the gear box, then didn't get round to doing it till 6 months later. It was a good summer though, and the extra breeze was nice in the hot weather. You just had to watch where you put your feet getting in.

Made lighting cigarettes easy as well, just reach down and touch it to the exhaust pipe

Bored now. Think it's time to look for a gig. I've been enjoying the time off, but if I'm just going to be sitting at a computer watching it rain outside, I may as well be getting paid for it.

                    Tired

I think a good result would be for this gig to continue until, say, mid-May. Then a few weeks off, then a gig somewhere away from home for a few months over the summer.

But who knows what will happen? That's one of the things about contracting, for me: you can never be sure what's over the horizon. Uncertainty keeps life interesting

I've supposedly got paperwork coming to take me to mid May which supposedly I should already have seen as everyone else has got that.

I'm waiting for confirmation from Friday's interview in which case I will have to make a decision.... It won't be difficult though as the other contract is longer, nearer home and more money.....
