True, and if you add the words "I'm totally invisible to all road users" you have the complete package to help improve your survivability!

I had 3 years of commuting by bicycle so none of this is a surprise. My balance is very good and it appears my bike control is also not bad and I'm not a speed nutter (although like a bit of a blast on a dry straight with no side roads).

However, it constantly amazes me what vegetative state most drivers are in and their incredibly narrow field of vision they adopt. It's not the speed but the total lack of observation that is the biggest danger in my two-wheeled experience. The school run mum is particularly hazardous, what with the stress levels and distractions associated with thinking about whether you've packed little Johnny's lunchbox and gym bag, whether you can slam on your brakes and double park outside the school on a main road causing gridlock and whether you've left the iron on.

On the other extreme we have the the lesser spotty hoodie in the chavved up Nova who likes nothing better than driving on the wrong side of the road at you, or 5cm from your rear tyre.

Still, it beats the hideous train any day. And the wierdos on it. Last night I was in an empty carriage at Waterloo on my way home when a young man in a suit got on, walked all the way down to the end of the carriage, walked all the way back up and sat next to me. Why? I mean why the **** why?!?!?!
If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.

      Nearest to me is Hoofdorp.

Speaking of pies, I'll probably make me own this weekend, now I have a functioning oven.

I think I'll go to the market in Deventer and try a couple of them.

When I worked in Den Haag, there used to be a Bio-Markt on Wednesdays and the butcher there had some nice game pies.

As opposed to Porn-Pie.com who do something completely different.

I used to enjoy the group project days, but this lot of numpties are making me lose the will to live.

How many times can someone make the same fecking silly mistake?
