Here contractors have to pay more than staff members. I have forwarded that email to my personal account for use if need be.

Also I think it's essential to be polite and attend such does if you want to be remembered when it comes to renewal time. For years that approach has kept me at the same clientco as many others are canned
merely at clientco for the entertainment

What have they done to walkers crisps - just hit the vending macine for something to do. Their salt and vinegar is now like dried up old cardboard - I had to retest that with the second bag....

      can i have a third - hmmm?

Today I'm billing for not attending. I've got loads done too without constant interruptions.

Oops, just spilt red wine over my "BUPA Health Report". One of the recommendations therein is to cut down on alcohol...

Excellent night with Mr N at a lovely cocktail bar in hamsterjam.

Is BUPA worth going with? I've heard they are very restrictive? Need to sort it out and get a policy but need one that covers existing conditions...

Ours is through Mr ms's work - we've had it 25 years - before we had any pre-existing conditions! The 'health check' thing was an extra that he paid for with his flexible benefits - we've had one every 10 years - dunno if it's worth it - probably would be if they picked up on something. As far as the main BUPA cover, we've never had any major claims, but I had a small op done under it, and have had physio and chiro. Guessing that as we get older, we're more likely to be glad of it. Was chatting to a guy who'd had both knees done, and treatment for bowel cancer and he was very glad of it.

For pre-existing, your best bet is to find a permie employer that has health insurance that does cover it - I think you'd be unlikely to be able to arrange cover yourself.
