I think I trimmed too much off the outer cable so the wires were moving about too much when I tried to put them into the connector. Discovered yesterday there was a slight bijou problemette with the PIC programming thingie.
We thought it had to last until May, whereas the guy giving the course thought it should only take 4 weeks.
