And an early.morning beckons for the usual on site Monday at a depressing Regus office.

I had neglected to remember I had asked HWMBO to strip the bed this morning and leave it airing. This is despite him also following my request to leave all the bed linen on the kitchen floor for me to deal with tomorrow.

Therefore, the bed was made in a "just in time" fashion.

Mowed the back lawn and decided to leave the front lawn for next weekend. Mum was happy as that's the one she stares at most of the day.

As I was clearing up and putting things away, Mum then decided she wanted to go to Tesco. We had to go to the Tesco Express rather than the big Tesco due to Sunday trading hours and the time of day. However, they did have everything on her list bar the choc ices but she was happy to have a box of Magnums instead.

Tedious drive home and got in shortly before HWMBO had to leave for the airport to go home.

Just noticed how green the middle distance is starting to look out the bedroom window, as all the mature trees in the gardens stretching away over that side are coming into leaf

No idea, it hasn't been switched on for at least 5 years & probably more like 10.

It's going with 20 or so 10" reels of Scotch 207 and 10 or so 7" reels of assorted 207/175 (whatever 175 is, that's on the box but not necessarily what's on the spools).

I paid £600 for the A700 in 1977. It was never really up to much. And is full of those horrid clear epoxy paper capacitors that will need changing before it's powered up, plus a fine selection of almost pure unobtainium Revox branded ics.

I still wonder why I thought it a good idea to buy the thing, one of the follies of youth.

Sunny and Simpsonesque out today, and the breeze that started to feature rather heavily in the later reaches of yesterday has died back a lot, though there's still some slight waving of fronds over on the conifers. Not as warm as it was though: currently 10°C and not getting any higher than 13°. The barometers are back up a bit at 1012/1020mB

Meanwhile on the 17th of September 2019 NF was troubled by The Phantom Driller as works went on in his old abode, LM declared that "Constantine" was a favourite film, and I posted an ep of "The Mighty Micro" which featured both Lucky Jim and The Great She Elephant.

I had to have a look at that to see Lucky Jim. All the predictions about The End of Work didn't come true after all. Never mind, the poor coal miner chap probly never got another job when The Great She Elephant closed the mines he worked in.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine and chill. Pleasant enough once I'd warmed up.
