Home life a bit sh1t though, think me and the gf have grown apart after 10+ years... just kinda coasting at the moment to see what happens. Maybe the whole single thing might be a good thing for a while who knows?!

Right now... not that happy.

Job - pays a lot but not enjoying it at the moment. Used to be pretty laid back but now cycles between doing FA and being asked to magic up the impossible in front of demanding customers.

Getting sick of the travel. Had some amazing travels over the last few years. Montreal, San Francisco, New York, India, all round Europe... but the endless nights in dull little hotels in corners of some industrial estate in Belgium seem to be getting more and more.

I think I need a break. I remember once sitting on a train going to my first job and hearing a guy and a girl chatting. They sighed, both wordlessly in agreement that going to work was rubbish. Then the guy perked up "In two weeks time I am off to my holiday in America."

How bloody depressing, I thought. I never, ever want to get like that. Work at some job you hate with your only break being a holiday to some magical land which will never be that good anyway.

Put my CV out on Friday and talking to three companies now. I think a change will do me good. Hard to get them to match the money though.

Bird - My girlfriend is a nice girl. She keeps hinting about marriage and babies though. I'd love to have kids one day... not sure it is my thing at the moment. Don't really fancy sharing a flat with someone. What if I want to just lie in bed having a big wank?

Dunno.

Other life stuff - most of my time is taken up with work. If not the job itself the travelling and being away. So I feel i've missed out on a lot of stuff there. Great while you are happy to go at it full tilt and enjoy the travelling. Otherwise... I need to build the rest of my life up...

I had to vote content because I honestly don't know if I'm happy or not..but I'm not depressed...I think.

Thats the best way mate - when you have time to think, you generally come up with "not happy". Not knowing if you're coming or going is often a good thing

fairly happy......two fantastic children, GF two children are wonderful. Divorce is going through slowly, sorted out a settlement figgure which I'm happy with and will leave me with a few hundred k in the bank.

Job is ok, pays lots and lots, but the work is so dull and not technical at all, which is rather depressing.
My old client has asked me back for one last 'mission' and to name my price, but I've signed up for 6months and don't want to break the contract.

So fair to middeling.
