I can’t remember a thing about my time on the scheme so calculating day rates etc is not an option . You said the trustees is still around but I just read Tenon IOM who were the trustees no longer exists . If you know the details of their successors , kindly share

The trustee is still around and contactable and generally happy to help.

The loan book is accessible if not public.

If you do not have the numbers, you can use any reasonable estimate.

If you don't have bank statements, then go back to day rate and days worked and calculate it from there.

I'm not able to share I'm sorry.

I promised the trustee that I would not publish the details to anybody except our clients.

Like I said though, about 30 minutes on the internet will get you there.

Hi I settled via an APN for the two years (well just under) when I was at Edge. 09/10 and 10/11

I thought the APN basically took away the tax advantage but was not necessarily an admission or legal win for HMRC.

So are all these letters from HMRC (which I have not had one recently) just realising the APN money. I guess. So now Rangers is dead in the water I'm assuming HMRC want closure on these APNs for them.

Obviously I still have these "trust loans" which will be another headache. Just I'm concerned they are after more money for those two years. Surely having settle the APN they cannot tax me again ?

        even more confused now ?

Did the HMRC say what to do next ?

I sent an email saying for them to give me details of dates, amounts etc but all I got was a standard reply saying I needed to provide all the info before sep 30
I have found a little bit more information out from people who were also caught out. Their situation is quite different though as they received the letters within 7 years of their tax years whereas we seem to be outside of the 7 year threshold where obviously we will be unlikely to be obtain any records at all..

I am waiting for one of their technical specialists to call back but I requested that on Monday and no news yet... But from what I can understand they don't seem to have any records and neither do we so they have to estimate. They were supposed to be emailing me some form of settlement pack but have not received that either so no idea whats in there. Will post back when I hear anything...

I can't remember how much we received on paye I seem to think it could have been 693 a month or 963 or it could be a complete guess?? Anyone remember!? If what someone earlier said that it is 5 x the PAYE then does that mean that we have to pay tax on 5 x 12 months x whatever that number is so if 963

5x12x963 = 57780 and then 31% ish of that?? Do they take into account that Norla/Edge used to take about 20% in commission and also the fact that there were expenses in the mix as well?

Short story is I am still not much clearer until they speak to me.

Many thanks for this. From what i gather, the fees Norla / Edge charged will be deducted but as there are no precise figures in our cases, not sure how that is going to pan out

                      Questions

Having pondered (/panic’d!) this for the last 24 hours, i have the following questions:

1/ people are trying to unearth the trustee’s details. Is this in the hope of contacting them and them agreeing to disolve the loan?
2/ is this a viable strategy? As in is this cause for HMRC to drop persuit? Seems to good to be true?
3/ my period in question is > 7yrs ago. I thought anything greater than this magic number means they lost their chance to ask questions (cannot believe im being haunted by this now! Like many i was duped into believing this was perfectly legal consulting model!).
4/ has anyone else left the UK (like me). I left in 2013. Does this make any difference?

Im signing up on WTTbiggroup later today hopefully to get some answers but i figured the above are innocent enough to ask here.

Thanks in advance guys! The community here is all i have from losing it right now!
