The interest on the outstanding tax is a standard HMRC reply, I have spoken to a few colleagues and we all have this.
I am more concerned by an email I received today from Kingston Smith which seems to suggest that Penfolds (my co.) will no longer support the appeal and that any appeal must be personally financed; does anyone else have anything similar?
This is the Cascade thread smgrant78. I doubt that many Penfold users will read this.
You may get more response if you post in the main EBT thread or start a separate Penfold thread.

Many Cascade clients caught in the 2008/09 HMRC discovery letter were actually employees of Penfolds (formally Assignment Solutions). This thread definitely applies to them too.
I too received a letter from Kingston Smith indicating that Penfolds have made alternate arrangements for the case to be taken further and if we need answers from Kingston Smith then we need to pay.
So I think sit tight and await Penfolds next step.

Understood.
