I’m in the same boat as you. Ignore him.
Eek has been a member here for many years and as far as I’m aware doesn’t have any commercial benefit to directing people in one way or another. Some on here do and often they are the ones with smoke and mirrors.

Much of the most sensible statements on here over the years have been from people giving advice seeking nothing in return. Iliketax is a good example.

It’s a tulipty situation but slamming people who have been posting on here for ten years isn’t the answer.

Have some trust in your adviser, let them deal with it, that is what you are paying him/her for.

I think you will find that the forum will not add value once you have engaged a professional. I think it will be counter-intuitive to the benefit you should be experiencing when engaging an adviser. If you have any questions, direct them to your adviser. And don't advertise on here what your adviser tells you, do not share any emails or mailshots on here.

Remember you cannot trust everyone on here, you don't even know who we all are. And it doesn't really matter to you if the admin know who they are.
I agree I’ve been a member since the weekend and the recent few weeks posts I have reviewed aren’t good reading on here to put it politely.

Trust in your legal opinions and not comments from posters. The Admin on the account did warn persons a few weeks ago . The app allows you to block ignore people as one poster mentions .

I think that a Eek has been saying that. Don’t go by the recommendation of anonymous posters.
Well said here , seek legal advice and just interact with them and don’t respond to certain comments here , I know it must be hard not to give your 5 pence worth but it’s just fuel for the fire . Life is too short to let people get to you .

My only question - are those legal opinions looking at the correct problem in the correct jurisdiction or are they looking at what you were led to believe the problem and jurisdiction is?

Weren't you asking for advice the other day? What are you basing your comment of it being very true on?

              Is this virtual Whack-a-mole?

I think both posters who joined over the weekend are very dubious..

Maybe I am or not but I can definitely read. No advice offered at any time from me and never will be.

I have read EEKs posts and made a decision that is all.

I hope this thread isn't making anyone ill with worry. And I'm not being flippant here; I'm being serious.

I know only too well, from direct personal experience, where worrying can lead.

Sometimes folks speculate on things (Felicitas may be planning XYZ) without considering the impact this might have on people's state of mind.
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.

I'll be honest with you, I didn't sleep last night. I feel sick to my stomach.

What I have done is reach out to a specialist legal firm this morning, and for that Eek, I thank you for bringing your findings to the table.
