    I've told you before:

    http://forums.contractoruk.com/gener...ys-fitbit.html

Get a fitbit. 5km is not enough. 10,000 steps a day is enough for most. I've lost a few kilos since having it without much bother. It's surprisingly motivational.

In fact if we all had them we could have a cUK leader board to see who walks the most.

Don't reply, just go out and buy one the now.

How about we switch that take away to a healthy home cooked meal? It does not have to be bland or take long to prepare. That would be a massive help.

Weekend warriors actually end up putting on more weight than loosing it. And often injury themselves.

        Moderation is the key.

You're doing fantastic at 5km a day, but you know you'd like to do more.

Hiking definitely is proper exercise but to get enough exercise in over a week, will take a lot of time.

I still find my static bike great. 45min - an episode of something on Netflix - works out about 350kCal and is something I can do every day.

FitBit is an overpriced, under-specced gadget. Nice packaging, poor functionality for the price - but you are an Apple fan
If it was more than just a pedometer it could be great... it's waterproof but can't detect swimming, it doesn't measure your pulse, etc.

As for a leaderboard - start a "Who's the biggest walker on cUK" thread and see what happens.

            This could be the issue

I have the nike+ thing you put in your shoe wonder if I can use that. I reckon 10k steps is a good target cheers. Looking at the fitbit website might buy one actually and the scales. Wonder if I can put it through as an expense? My thinking is if I am fitter I am less likely to be off sick and lose invoicing cash

£40! You cheap skate! What has fitbit got to do with Apple?

It records your footsteps, simple. It's a great way of telling you if you're doing enough.

There's different products, but the basic simple one if fine imo. Somedays you've gone to the gym just to bring up the daily count on the treadmill.

I have a nexus 5 and apparently it has a built in pedometer sensor, will use that as I always carry my phone.
