I have heard a number of women refer to men as Munters.

On other women they tend to be more specific and point out the exact visual defect.

Never, but then again I only know about 5 British (including Irish) women and they're all pretty respectable but I have heard German women use their versions

I regularly hear women I know use these terms about other women - ironically I never do. I had foolishly regarded "munter" as a bit more of a lighthearted term.

You posted a link to a story about a woman being deported from Sri Lanka for having a tattoo, and the religious and legal implications of having tattoos in certain countries. Did you mention any of that? No, the whole point of the post was to point out that the woman was ugly. If it had been a man who was deported, would you have commented on his appearance and ignored the content of the story? I doubt it. That's why it's sexist, that's why it's misogynistic.

Except that we regularly have stories linked to about men, where the comments are "What a chav" based on their appearance, without going into the details of the story. If this story were about a couple who were deported, and both looked like she does then the initial comment would probably have been "What a couple of munters".

You can see misogyny wherever you want if you try hard enough.

I assume if it had been a man we would of commented on his chav credentials and whether he looked like a peado, rapist or murderer (seems some things we are happy to discuss about men) . As such threads seem to normally go.
