That's because no one believes George. He need not say nothing. Everyone knows they'll be a currency union. And the armchairs voters in the south will not be able to do a thing about it. Yes it happens if there's a majority vote.Originally posted by MyUserName View PostIf this yes vote gets passed does that mean it is definitely happening or that they are definitely going to try to make it happen but might change their minds if it is too much hassle?
I always thought it meant it was definitely going to happen but there does not seem to be enough certainty on some important areas for this to be viable.

I never said I had answers. Identifying the problems, yes. Maintaining polices such as free education are important, getting young people into a mindset that work is rewarding rather than an endless labour. Poverty will not go away by throwing cash at it. Nonetheless it's a blight that needs urgent attention. That attention will come from someone who knows the country.Originally posted by sasguru View PostI repeat, how are you going to abolish poverty while cutting public services?"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Indeed. But that's running out according to the media.Originally posted by Unix View Post
Apparently Scotland supplies a fair amount of electricity to the North of England. Can't we just increase lecky prices?"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

Good luck with that. (and trust me I know more than most do regarding current production figures as I see the flow rates of 4 pipes / 11 fields )....Originally posted by Unix View Post

FTFYOriginally posted by scooterscot View PostThat needs to change. Alex Salmond is the root of many of Scotland's problems.
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment
