Last month, they received another summons and this time they were told car plant 2 was to be closed with the loss of another 450 jobs. And that of my cousin who'd been on quality control since the mid 90s.

Again,While the UK market has held up, the CEO emphasised poor growth in the Eurozone as the main factor in this decision.

So, how is that not linked in some way with the state of the EU economy? It's not exactly surprising they're not selling like hot cakes in Spain, Italy and Greece is it?
No, No No don't supply evidence you will never shake their faith in the Eurozone, its 'la la la, I'm all right Jack I feel its my right to work anywhere I want. I don't want no stinkin paperwork and I want to keep my cheap immigrant builder'

My bonus is tied to Europe's success, the UK has done well as usual but parts of Europe are tanking, so again no bonus. I get to see the sales figures & profit for each country.

No, I have never supported the single currency. I do however support the right of GG's cousin to go and seek a job in one of the German, Italian, Dutch, Polish or Czech car factories that's currently running to keep up with demand.

        What argument? You said:

I prefer to look at outcomes and to follow the money. The Euro has enabled Germany to keep the cost of its goods very low. It has eradicated any price and cost advantages that lower cost/ poorer countries might have to bolster their economies.
Without any proof, just a conjecture on your part and I countered that in fact their goods aren't priced that low. Obviously you don't buy German goods otherwise you you would know that so basically you just made something up, salesman's talk if you like.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Where do I buy a BMW for the price of a Panda?
Another one missing the point. Do I really have to explain basic maths and economics:

          here goes:

if Germany had remained with the Mark whilst the rest of the EU merged into the Euro, then the Mark will have grown by between lets's say 20% and 50% in value against the lower currency. German cars would have rocketed in cost to Greeks, Italians and the rest of us to the point we would all have bought fewer of them.

Or is that not how exchange rates work?

I don't believe the rest would ever have joined the Euro without Germany anyway.

Fair enough.. I agree. However such is the momentum of the EU towards closer union politically and economically that now is the time to get off.

So why have JLR's exports to Europe increased by a whopping 12% this year?
                And Nissan's too, I believe.
Something to do with the fact that they make desirable products?
                Hard Brexit now!

That is not the point. I was trying to make it easy for you to understand by just having two currencies representing two different economies.

If you want to break each country down to its original currency then the same rule applies.

If the Germans make brains I suggest you go and buy one.

No, reform. The polls in Germany are also showing that a majority there want powers transferred back home, as do the polls in Holland; there's never been a better moment to push for change.
