Perhaps I could clarify by replacing "You sound..." with the already implied "That post makes you sound", if it makes you happier?

Can you really be accused of making a 'sweeping generalisation' about an individual based on their own actions? You were the one that implied you left your kids to their own devices with regards to bullying, after all.

There needs to be bullies and the bullied to make sure kids are prepared for the real world. Bit fat, bit thin, bit different, little effeminate, ginger, glasses, little bit slow, little autistic it is every child's rite of passage to be teased, pinched, kicked and beaten up by the normal kids.

That reminds me of poor old OH, always insisting that he'd never been bullied in his life because he had loads of brothers. A bit sad, really.
