Yes, but there are differences between Christians on matters of theology and Scripture which can be very difficult to reconcile. In fact there are many examples of one branch of Christianity being completely at odds with another over the interpretation of a particular event or teaching.

For example the Millennium.

Unless you are claiming to be an independent branch or sect yourself or are a theological genius above all others, then I suggest you will need to align yourself to one or other of the established views. Eg. Lutheran, Calvinists, Arminianists etc. Or at least if you explain your views on, for example the Millennium, then you can be identified with one of them even though you may not subscribe to any.

You wouldn't post so much if he was found to be a phoney. For me, he still has a long way to go to establish his credentials as a genuine Christian. He won't answer the sort of questions that I'd expect committed Christians of all denominations to be able to answer without hesitation because they will have learnt the basic tenets which are fundamental to their understanding of the Bible and the Way of the Lord.

Yes it was a tad optimistic asking the question in the first place, and I'm not expecting an answer, but my guess is our deluded friend is a recent convert (hence the zeal) and therefore he's bound to have been a naughty boy in the past. Of course I'm sure he's repented all his past sins, so that makes it alright then. If that's how the system works, I'll carry on as normal and repent at the end. Much more enjoyable that way...
