    Happy Plan B stories

There are the occasional references to Plan B, when decisions are made to leave the world of contracting.

Are there any success stories of contractors going on to glittering Plan Bs

PRC gave up contracting because Plan B was too successful.

n5gooner runs those scanning businesses as well.

They probably stop being on CUK when it happens.

AtW runs a real business but I don't know if he started as a contractor... M12 might be his plan A?

No, I think Majestic was an offshoot of a plan B, he certainly was a contractor when he started posting here. He is now doing considerably better than I expect even he hoped he would be! A real success that came out of his enthusiasm and hard work.

I worked on a contract in 2006/2007 with some young chap that thought he knew-it-all and was dispensed with 3 weeks into a 6 month contract.

He then set-up FreeAgent with 2 others.

I've a couple of mates who started a web consultancy a few years ago, based around their own CMS, after a few years as permies. They employ about 20 people now, as well as having a side business renting desk space nr 'silicon roundabout'.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
