I do free weights, swimming and skiing. When I first started doing weights (mainly to protect my neck from slipped disks - see the "worst pain" thread), after a couple of weeks the muscles in my arms, neck and shoulder had toned up wonderfully. As has already been said, being physically fit feels *good*.

Having said that, once you reach a certain age, if you wake up in the morning and something doesn't hurt - then you've died during the night.
Sounds amusing but I respectfully disagree. I'm 62 and not sporty but nothing hurts when I wake up. I actually feel in better shape than 30 years ago, it probably isn't literally true but it feels so. Maybe because being lazy appealed to me when I was young, but now keeping moving until I die, or indeed to postpone it, appeals more.

        But only in years.

Sign the confession and we'll go for the humane burned at the stake option.

Could we have a poll added?

                STFU
                MTFU
Sub-standard option for AndyW FU Suity's bottom .

You're feeling old about the time you fancy a cup of Horlicks at bedtime.
