I think we all know that the worst pain is often not physical, but a pain in the heart.
The loss of a loved one. It can hurt for a lifetime, much longer than a nettle sting
I still feel a sense of tremendous loss when I think of the death of my mouse bertie
who died in my Everton sock when I stood on him all those years ago
watching his little legs twitch as he did one last poo onto my hand(\__/)
