Other than that, £1000 sounds pretty low if this is to include an entire suite and retiling & decorating the whole room. Not unrealistic, but certainly not luxury either. Worth splashing out more for premium stuff?
Not illegal - just has to be done by a "competent person" i.e. not Suity and yes you now need to get it certified if you don't have Part P... or you could just swear blind it was already installed when you bought the gaff

Electric heated shower is the problem not an electric pumped shower as cable size comes into play and 2.5mm standard mains cable won't be sufficient
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

          2.5mm should do fine.

I expect a competent person will be along shortly to tell you a 10kw shower on 2.5mm cable will make for interesting times

On the other hand, Luton could badly use some slum clearance.

It's OK - Suity has a spool of old bell wire left from his last DIY.

Apparently if he twists a lot of them together it'll be "alright"!

If only we had the same protection as electric and gas fitters, in fact even builders are getting in on it now. Before people say our work isn't life threatening my first programming was calculating the stress loads on the bolts on an hydraulic pump for the first Airbus. It was the one that moved the flaps and slats The designer who checked it had a naive faith in computers giving the correct answer because he wasn't into this technology stuff. Every time I step onto an Airbus I wonder if my pump is still in use.
