Not really that keen on any of the crap that B&Q has to offer, nor Wickes.

Quick google shows lots of new online firms I've never heard of. Anyone got and recommendations?

I need close coupled loo, barf, basin n taps, heated towel rail, under floor heating, floor and wall tiles, shower screen.

    TIA
Not reading the whole thread, but try PTS for the suite. We got our tiles from somewhere like TIle Warehouse (I think). Best of luck - I'm banned from doing the plumbing at home after royally messing it up one year.

Suity, a grand for a new bathroom is derisory. For a start, go to Aston Matthews and get some decent fittings, including a metal bath. A plastic bath is the utter pits and will give you endless trouble with leaks round the seals.
WOHS - I spent half your budget on the shower head.

Other than that, £1000 sounds pretty low if this is to include an entire suite and retiling & decorating the whole room. Not unrealistic, but certainly not luxury either. Worth splashing out more for premium stuff?

If only we had the same protection as electric and gas fitters, in fact even builders are getting in on it now. Before people say our work isn't life threatening my first programming was calculating the stress loads on the bolts on an hydraulic pump for the first Airbus. It was the one that moved the flaps and slats The designer who checked it had a naive faith in computers giving the correct answer because he wasn't into this technology stuff. Every time I step onto an Airbus I wonder if my pump is still in use.

It's OK - Suity has a spool of old bell wire left from his last DIY.

Apparently if he twists a lot of them together it'll be "alright"!
