I don't think there is really any etiquette is there?

It would all depend on the circumstances, if it was an amicable break up or not etc.

I held on to my Wedding ring for quite a long time, I couldn't quite bring myself to part with it as it had been blessed.

      - it has it's perks as well as it's downsides. Am still stumped as to d000hg's logic though. Feel free to explain it!

Although one minor downside of autism is my daughter seems to have inherited it and is classed as a high functioning autistic. We just got her IEP from the school.

        Well, quite.

I gave mine back, but I have friends who kept theirs.

            But you accepted?
I actually can't remember if she did the whole symbolic taking the ring off as we broke up, or if I asked for it. It was 10 years ago and a lucky escape.

I'm not sure what logic I stated. I think that following etiquette is foolish, if you're offered it back and refuse you're a fool.

She married my housemate and I married her best friend. They're still best friends. But we're not still housemates.
