Yeah, it's been over a month. There was a doctor on the radio this morning saying that normally they would hope to bring someone out of the coma within 2 weeks.

It's all speculation until he wakes up. The brain is about as well understood as the oceans. 10% at best. Best thing is to say a prayer for him.Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment

I was never a fan of his racing, but I do hope that he recovers and no-one outside his family and medics will actually know the prognosis.Comment

There is probably nobody better equipped to recover. Not only does he have the financial resources and fame to get the absolute best treatment but he was in great shape. And like any top-level professional sportsman, he has an absolute iron will to fight, which is very important.
If he retains enough marbles to know what's going on, my guess would be he'd recover very well over time. But that's potentially a big if.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Heard last night they're going to slowly reduce his sedation with a view to bringing him out of the coma. Could take a while though, the news said.Comment

I hope he's alright. Some people say the Schmacher era was boring but not me. He is undoubtedly one of the all time greats, it would be a crying shame to see him reduced to a vegetable. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment
