He'll not be the last this season on the pistes..

Last week I saw a child wizz past me out of control off the piste just missing a tree. My stomach turned. And all the dad did was shout. The little tike has no business being on the piste if he can't learn to stop when needed.

I was snowshoe hiking at Courchevel last week - there were rocks everywhere and a small dump of snow on Christmas day just hid them.

Fortunately I didn't have any close encounters with skiers but I was always ready to dive out of the way the moment anyone got too close (which was why I always walked mountainside rather than valleyside).

No point being made. Schumacher went off-piste where rocks are hidden by a few centimeters of snow instead of the usual few meters. Conditions like this are dodgy because they look safer than they are.
