Good for you! I must be the exception because when I grew up there were a lot of sadistic pricks who liked nothing better than to take out their frustrations by administering a good beating to kids and I can assure you that I saw no good come out of it. Fortunately those days are over now and it's no longer acceptable for people in authority to hit kids but when they changed that law there was uproar about that too.Originally posted by fullyautomatix View PostA good old clipping round the ears did no harm to no kid.
As an adult, I would dearly love to hit kids when they piss me off but I don't because I know that every single person I saw beat a child lost respect rather than gained it and it is shameful for an adult to have so little control over children that they have to resort to violence. And it doesn't take kids long to understand that there is a big difference between fear and respect.Free advice and opinions - refunds are available if you are not 100% satisfied.Comment

The wee tulipe that was rocking a 70 year old plane by its wings at Hendon RAF museum this afternoon needed a slap.

what a load of old tosh - each to their own, its a bit like religion, everyone has their view and as long as you dont force your view on me I dont care. I got a few clips when I stepped out of line when I was younger and can say that I think it did me the world of good. Have had to hand out a few clips to the jnr's when they have bulldozed through several lines in the sand of acceptable behaviour and they have turned out to be kids I'm proud of. Do I think they will do the same to theirs when the time comes - probablyComment
