        It would make more sense if you said that a high carb diet is more likely to result in, or even cause, a large +ve energy imbalance. Cos ultimately it *is* an energy balance issue. The problem is people eat too much, and I do think the amount of processed food in modern diets has something to do with that.

        I personally have the opposite problem now, I actually struggle to consume enough calories & protein to maintain weight. I am constantly thinking about my next meal or snack, even when I'm eating.
