Defined Methodolgies - write a document with Defined Methodolgies as it's title and then inside write "Run around like a headless chicken, leave all tasks to the last minute and ensure there is no relevant documentation"

    There you go methodology defined.

And so the exec say "They have many developers and much resources we will never have to wait again..."

Really - so this company is going to have trained people waiting around just for you - anyone with a brain knows that is not a viable business model.

Also the exec say 'Ah but if they do not deliver we will be able to sue them as per the contract..."

Any outsourcing company's business model is to make sure they can make as much money out of the company as possible and to ensure they are in now way culpable for any problems.

This is their business model does anyone really thing they can find a loop hole in the contract.

It's just the complete fu<king naivety of it that gets me!

We've invented a system where short term cost-savings are king regardless of the long-term effect.
Contrast to the many family-owned companies in Germany whose interest is in the long term.
      Hard Brexit now!

          fook this i'm oot!
Just overheard mainframe analyst behind me say in condescending tone to Bob PM... "isn't that a bit unusual to start building before we've even finished high level design?" Bob PM responded with... "well you'd better make sure your design alignes with our code then".

          I feel another extension looking.

Nope but it is the only logical way to approach things - you want to make as much money as possible from doing as little as possible

            every company does

and yes it is all about short term financial gain against long term stability
