Not sure what you mean. Clearly if you have a list of schools only some of them will be at the top.

We could build 10x as many schools as we need and then all kids could go to the top 10% of schools. That would work.

Just turn the Isle of Wight into one big boarding school and send every child there then they'll all get the same education, sorted.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

A market that drives people to differentiate and innovate in order to compete more effectively isn't going to produce 5,000,000 identical educations, therefore only some of them will be top quality, and those ones will be able to charge more, thus remaining the preserve of the elite.
I think it was clear that when DA said "top quality" he meant "great", not "best" i.e. move the whole scale so the 'worst' are good and everyone else is better.

Because as I have already pointed out it's logically impossible. They can't all have the "highest" standards, any more than 7 billion people can all be the tallest person in the world.

You seem to be struggling with some basic concepts like ordering and the meanings of comparatives and superlatives. They teach you that stuff at comprehensives donchaknow.

Parents already have lots of choices. What makes you think giving them another one will help
In the imagined Dodgy future, all schools will be as good as today's top school. That will commoditise education and remove the need for differentiation between schools.

So he wants every school to meet a minimum quality standard? Why doesn't he say that then? Instead of saying things like

That's from this thread. There are dozens of instances in others.

It will produce a better educated population, but there will still be winners and losers, and the winners will end up at the top and the losers will end up as recruitment agents.

Theoretically I think they do which is why schools get 'failed' although it would be interesting to see what these minimum standards are and how they've been changed over the years. Whatever happened to the 11 plus by the way?

I think its just trolling during lunch hour, tea breaks, check the times he tends to post. On the other hand he might be right and we're all wrong

Why can we not make every school outstandingly good?

I think most already knew I was female. I started my CUK career by posting from the labour ward, high on drugs, as I recall.

Not sure it's been clarified on CUK whether my cleavage is 'nice' though.
