While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

If you mean MPs then you're right. They are paid a whole lot less for doing what I'd say is a much more important job than him.

So are you saying entertainers should be paid less, or politicians should be paid more?

His point seems to be that writing a manifesto and standing for parliament is utterly pointless because it won't make a difference.
In his case he is probably correct. But what does he think will? Writing a blog? It is not exactly hard to point out the inefficiencies and inequalities in any political setup. However in a democracy you only get to effect change if you get the support of significant number of voters, for which you need a mature, realistic, well-thought-out platform and policies. Otherwise you're just another dilletante mouthing off....

I cannot watch the interview right now, anyone care to summarise his position?
My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.

Unless the contractors control the actions of the Bank or are complicit in illegality they are entitled to whatever they earn. If you want to earn that sort of money get yourself work there.

The problem is that the banks gambled with other people's money and instead of being sent to prison they were underwritten by the government and are back to bleeding the population dry.

Dyson & Bayliss are rich and I don't begrudge them a penny.
Dyson offshored again I don't blame him, I wish he didn't need to.

But it is better that he has earned what he has got by performing on the global stage, whereas they do not have the opportunity to earn the same amounts by performing on the global stage?

If Russell Brand suddenly inherits a tonne of money next week, is he suddenly as bad as our "ruling elite", or is he still better than them because he gets paid more?

My point was that CMD, Cable and the rest of them don't "perform on the global stage" in the sense that although they are on it, they fail to perform.
