Damn clients wanting me to take their money

I keep trying to get my workload down to 50% so I can focus on plan B, and my clients keep asking if I can increase my hours for a few months for the next version.

Hard to turn down money but rather annoying, in a "nice problem to have" way.

    Give me the money.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I'm trying to do 3 days per week to focus on "Project Move House" - 4 days last week purely because the systems were down on Monday and its looking like 5 days this week.

I could just do ridiculously long days, but I'm paid per day and not per hour - so I'm going to be living in a tent at Christmas at this rate.

          Can't you sub-contract?

So I do the work but don't get the money? Seems the reverse of what I want!

If I had someone, probably... they keep muttering they want to find someone full-time and get rid of me but haven't actually done anything about it. I already sub out some of the web-dev stuff.

              Sure, but I'd be happy.

May hay while the sun shines, there might be a time where work is thin, then you can hit plan B full time with your bigger warchest.

That's what I'm doing, but every time I am looking forward to plan B some more hay turns up
